"Name That Tune!" Shower Game

Object of the Baby Shower Game

The object of the baby shower game is for the
guests to try to name which children's song or
nursery rhyme the "one liner" comes from. The
person who gets the most correct wins.

Supplies Needed

1 piece of paper per guest
• 1
pen or pencil per guest
Enough books or clipboards for the guests to write on

Game Prep

1. Find about 10 to 12 children's songs or nursery rhymes and pick one line from each of them. For example, "With a Quack Quack here and a Quack Quack there" from Old MacDonald.
2. Write these one-liners on a sheet of paper with lines to the right of them.
3. Make one copy per guest (plus a few extras, just in case).

At the Baby Shower

1. Hand out the pieces of paper and pens or pencils to the guests
2. Give them 2 to 3 minutes to name which children's songs or nursery rhymes the "one liners" come from.
3. Check to see who has the most correct and award her a prize.

Additional Baby Shower Game Ideas and Tips

It's easy to get children's songs and nursery rhymes, even if you don't have a Mother Goose book handy. Just go to Google and type in "nursery rhymes" to find a wide variety of sites.
