"Memory Game" Shower Game
The object of this baby shower game is to have the
guests try to memorize as many baby items on a tray
as possible within 2 minutes. The winner is the person
who remembers the most items after they're hidden.
20 to 25 small baby items (tweezers, thermostat,
baby nail clippers, rattle, etc.)
1 tray, cookie sheet or small board
1 towel or cloth napkins
1 watch or timer
1 piece of paper per guest
1 pen or pencil per guest
Enough books or clipboards for the guests to write on
1. Put each item on a large tray or board
2. Cover the tray with a towel or cloth napkin so the guests can't see the
items until you are ready to play
1. Have all the guests gather around so they can see the covered-up tray
2. Take the cover off the tray and give them 2 minutes to memorize the items
3. Recover the tray and have them go back to their seats, if necessary
4. Give each guest one piece of paper and one pen or pencil
5. Have them write down as many items they can remember for 2 to 3 minutes
(depending on the number of items you have)
6. The guest with the most correct items wins.
1. Some people have all of their guest stay seated and the hostess walks
the tray around, giving each guest 10 to 15 seconds to memorize the items.
The guests can begin writing down the items as soon as the tray passes them.
If you choose this approach, be sure that they can't continue to see the items.
2. The items for this game can also be used for the Price
is Right game. Just be sure to do the Memory Game first so the guests
don't get any help memorizing the items.
3. These items also make nice gifts for the mom-to-be, as long as they're
purchased new.
