The "Baby Animal Name Game"

Object of the Baby Shower Game

The object of this baby shower game is to have the
guests give the correct baby names for a list of
animals. The person who gets the most correct
wins.

Supplies Needed

• 1 piece of paper per guest
• 1 pen or pencil per guest
• Enough books or clipboards for the guests to
write on

Game Prep

1. Research a variety of animals and the names of their babies. Some examples are:

Dog / Puppy	Goose / Gosling	Cat / Kitten	Skunk / Kit
Bear / Cub	Kangaroo / Joey	Goat / Kid	Penguin / Chick
Toad / Tadpole	Whale / Calf	Zebra / Colt or a Foal	Yak / Calf
Sheep / Lamb	Pig / Piglet	Duck / Ducklin	Platypus / Puggle
Llama / Cria	Monkey / Infant	Eagle / Fledgling	Giraffe / Calf
Lion / Cub	Turkey / Poult	Seal / Pup

2. Write the animal name on the left side of the paper with lines to the right.
3. Make enough copies so each guest can have one (plus a few extras)

At the Baby Shower

1. Hand out the papers and pens to the guests.
2. Give them 2-3 minutes to write down the correct name of each animal's baby.
3. Collect the pages and award a prize to the guest who had the most correct answers.
